- We are donig a little updating to our house - pulling off all the trim and getting new trim put on...now this leads to other projects - painting rooms, moving things, tearing out other cabinets and things... This mostly falls on me because Jared doesn't enjoy this stuff...he helps when I need him to, but I find it fun and he doesn't so that's ok. He watches Tenley in the evenings and I work on the house or..
- My Work - I have been pretty busy lately which is great, but leads me to work during the day on things I can do during the day, phone calls, emails, marketing, and putting out reports for my dad - then when Jared gets home at night I'm off to show houses, get papers signed, etc. Tenley comes on her fair share of outings and errand running with me during the day too.
- Other planned Activities - WEdnesday Nights is Kickball - which just got finished and we won the championship again! YAY!, Thrusday's is Bible Study - which we LOVE cause we have the most amazing group EVER, but stilll another night full. Weekends have been filled with Football games, road trips, class reunions, urban adventure races...all sorts of things, and Sunday's have been full of Open Houses.
SO I keep writing all these blogs in my mind, but haven't had time to get them on here - frankly if I have enough time to sit down and write a blog, I would rather be sleeping.
To add to the crazyness of life Jared had to go to Mexico this week. In true Jared and Michelle fashion that means something breaks or things happen because Jared is gone and Michelle gets really busy with work. Let's have a quick review, Jared leaves and then this happens:
- Duke has to have a major surgery on his arm and cries for two days straight and only sleeps when he is laying on michelle
- Our storage unit rental time is up and ALL things must be moved out and into our 500 SF apartment
- Our car dies
- Michelle has to drive back to Michigan from Seattle with Duke (luckily my mom came out and drove back with me)
- Our Fridge dies
- Our Fridge dies again
- Michelle gets really sick
- Michelle's phone dies
- Our Heat goes out
and this time:
- Tenley gets sick
- Fridge still not fixed
- our garage door breaks
Awesome.
So obviously I told Jared he is never allowed to leave again, clearly our family and posessions can't handle the thought of him not being around. It's actually pretty comical and we just laugh, we should start taking bets on what is going to go wrong next time he leaves!
WEll I have the sick kid in bed, Duke is feeling very neglected because I am so busy he is not getting much attention, but is currently sleeping on the couch next to me, and I am finishing this and then trying to find something mindless to watch on Hulu before cashing out for the night.
Tomorrow the New Trim is being delivered, the guy is coming to fix the fridge...AGAIN, I am going to pick up our new phones, run a few errands for work, meet up with a friend I haven't seen in way too long, show a house, answer a bunch of emails and phone calls for work, rip off some more trim, do the laundry, and FINALLY tomorrow night Jared will be home (don't worry he will be gone again bright and early Saturday morning for the day...what disaster awaits me!)
